How to:

create your holiday park playground

Where do I start?

Running and managing a holiday park can be challenging at the best of times, without having to think about ways of attracting new visitors and returning customers, all while trying to turn a profit for your business. Whether you’re a destination venue or somewhere more local, we appreciate the importance of both retaining your regular customers and attracting a broad range of new ones. Spending time with family and friends is important to all of us, and going to a venue that’ll cater to everyone's needs is paramount. We often hear from parents “If the children are happy, then we’re happy”. Naturally, a playground makes perfect sense, it's an asset that is sure to see a strong return on investment for years to come.

Firstly, we’re here to help and make this exciting process as simple as possible for you and that all starts with a conversation. Let's get to know your holiday park and what you hope to achieve through this play area.

What will our play area look like?

It’s at this point, that our designers will get to work, turning our conversations (and following the brief) into your initial design. This is the part we like to call ‘the pretty pictures’ as you will see lots of drawings and renders as the project evolves.

We’ll run through the design together, making any changes and get it just as you want it. After all, we want to make sure we’re creating a play area that families with children will want to come back to time and time again. And, when you’re happy and everything from date, budget and design is in order, we’ll give our team of carpenters at the workshop the green light.

What do we need to know?

You tell us what you like (and what you don’t), what you’d like to achieve and any challenges, your wants and wishes, and how we can help make your holiday park stand out from the crowd. The more we talk at the beginning of your project, the more we’ll be able to create a play area tailored to all of your needs.

We’ll continue to have more and more discussions as we get to know your business and you get to know ours. Then we’ll begin nailing down the specifics.

We ask details, which include:

  • Space, location, surfacing
  • Age and ability of the children
  • Must haves, wants and wishes
  • Bringing your attraction and uniqueness into the design, making it just for you
  • Your time frames, when works for you and when doesn’t
  • Budgets

Next, we’ll create the brief,  this is to make sure we’ve got everything we’ve talked about written down, and also to make sure we’re both on the same page. Once agreed, we’ll start designing.

How do you build/install your play equipment?

You’re happy with the design and quote, and all good to move on. Two things happen next: 1. We’ll arrange an installation day with you and 2. The team in our workshop will start making your playground as the majority is built before we even get to you.

The big day has arrived and we really hope the excitement of your project is building. To avoid any disruption and inconvenience to you and your customers, we’ll work together to install your play area at a time which suits you.

What about wear & tear, and warranty?

Now the play area is ready, and the kids are enjoying it with family and friends - we want to make sure it’s enjoyed for many years to come which is where our commercial warranty comes into play. Your new play area comes with a 12 month warranty against all workmanship defects and a 20 year warranty against timber failure, this means complete peace of mind for you for years to come.

All of our timber has been pressure treated which means it can withstand the elements and can be enjoyed for many years, you can read more about the timber we use here.
